Friday's game saw freshman Mairi Buchan record her first career start. The rookie center played in place of the injured Jessica Canady. Buchan ended the game with six points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Buchan's start was the first the Lady Monarch rookie to see the starting line-up since the 2005-06 season. The last Lady Monarch freshman to receive a starting nod was current senior Jazzmin Walters, who had her first career start against Virginia Tech on Nov. 25, 2005 in her rookie campaign.

Sophomore Shadasia Green set a new career-high with 15 points. Her previous high was 14 against Saint Joseph's back on December 12th. She scored in double figures for the third time this season and fifth time in her career.

After being outrebounded in their last two games, the Lady Monarchs outboarded the Lady Rebels, 37-32.

Senior Tiffany Green poured in a career-high 24 points. She surpasses her previous high of 21, which she scored twice in her career, most recently against Norfolk State on November 30th.

Senior Tiffany Green captured 20 or more points for the third time this season and the fifth time her career. Her 24-point effort also gave her double figure scoring for the ninth time in 2008-09 and 65th time in her career. Green has reached double digits in all but one game this season (Saint Joseph's).

Senior Tiffany Green recorded a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. It was Green's fourth double-double of the year and 22nd of her career. It was also the fourth time this year the senior posted double digit rebounds and the 27th time in her career.

Senior Tiffany Green led the team in scoring for the fourth time in 2008-09 and 17th time in her career.

Senior Tiffany Green led the team in rebounding for the third time this season and 46th time in her career.

Old Dominion fell in its third straight contest. The Lady Monarchs have not lost three-in-a-row since the 2006-07 season with a 68-64 loss to Charlotte on Dec. 17, 2006, a 86-71 setback at Middle Tennessee on Dec. 19, 2006, and a 75-59 home loss to Tennessee on Dec. 22, 2006.

Old Dominion closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule at 5-5. The Lady Monarchs fell to 0-2 on the year against the SEC.
