LADY MONARCH MOMENTS: Old Dominion is looking to rebound from Wednesday night's 74-48 setback to No. 24/RV Michigan State at the Jack Breslin Center in East Lansing. Senior Tiffany Green was the lone Lady Monarch in double figures with a team-leading 11.

Both of Old Dominion's losses this season have been to Top 25 teams - No. 14/13 Texas and No. 24/RV Michigan State.

Senior guard Jazzmin Walters cracked the Top 10 ODU Career Assist Leaders list with five assists against Michigan State. She currently stands in ninth with 363 career dishes.

The Lady Monarchs enter Sunday's game against the Spartans having won 27 straight home games, the second longest active streak in the country.

Sunday's game with Norfolk State will begin the first of a four-game homestand. The Lady Monarchs will close the year 2008 against Norfolk State, St. Joseph's , Maryland, and Tennessee. Old Dominion will not hit the road against until January 2nd, 2009 the team travels to Ole Miss.

Tiffany Green 1,000 POINT PRESENTATION:
Prior to Sunday's tip-off with the Spartans, Old Dominion will honor Tiffany Green for scoring her 1,000th career point. Green accomplished the feat in last year's "Sweet 16" contest with Connecticut becoming the 26th Lady Monarch to accomplish the feat. Green has already moved up the scoring charts to 24th having collected 1,082 career points to date. She needs just four more points to move into 23rd on the list past Sharron Francis (1998-2002).

ABOUT NORFOLK STATE:
The Spartans enter Sunday afternoon's contest still looking for their first victory of the season. Norfolk State holds an 0-3 record with losses on the road to Miami, Stetson, and William & Mary. The Spartans have a pair averaging double figures in rookie guard Marquilla Evans from Portsmouth at 14.7 points per game and sophomore forward Danelle Tate at 11.0 points per game. Tate also leads the Spartans in rebounding at 6.0 boards per game.

SERIES WITH NORFOLK STATE:
Old Dominion leads the all-time series with the Spartans, 19-3. Sunday's game will mark the first time in nearly 26 years the Lady Monarchs and Spartans have faced each other. Old Dominion has won the last 10 meetings The last meeting took place on December 18, 1982 with the Lady Monarchs taking a 95-58 victory at the Field House. Norfolk State's last victory over Old Dominion occurred during the 1975-76 season with the Spartans earning an 83-47 in the VAIAW Tournament.
