AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Brittainey Raven scored Texas' first 12 points and finished with 20 as the No. 14 Longhorns downed No. 25 Old Dominion 78-44 on Monday night to win the World Vision Classic.
Kathleen Nash finished with 15 points and had eight rebounds for Texas (3-0). She scored on a layup midway through the first half to tie the game 20-20. Nash was fouled during the shot, and made the free throw to complete the three-point play, and give the Longhorns their first lead of the game.
The Lady Monarchs (2-1) jumped out to an early lead thanks to leading scorer Tiffany Green, who finished with 16 points. The lead was short-lived as Texas rallied and closed out the half on a 23-6 run, holding Old Dominion to just three points in the final 11 minutes of the half.
