The ODU Monarchs open the 2008-09 season Sunday in Charlotte, NC. Against the 49ers of Charlotte from The Atlantic 10 Conference. The Monarchs have only one senior in Jonathan Adams and return four starters from last year's team that reached the quarterfinals of the inaugural CBI tournament. Pre-season All-CAA junior center-forward Gerald Lee alongwith sophomores Ben Finney, Darius James and Frank Hassell return to the Monarchs lineup.
