KING'S POINT, N.Y. -- Juniors Alan Alkins, Michael Komar, John and Kevin Shockey sailed to a seventh place finish at the MAISA Sloop Championship this weekend, holding their day one position. With just three races on the second day, Old Dominion was unable to make a move up the standings, but finished seventh with 63 total points.
The Monarch sailors had one fourth place effort on day two and added another seventh as well. The team finished just 21 points out of the top five while the host NY Maritime team won the event with 31 total points.
