NORFOLK,VA--The ODU men's soccer squad (6-5-2/3-2-1) return for the first of two straight home games Wednesday night when they host the Dukes of James Madison (6-5-2/3-3).Game time is7 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
The Dukes are led in scoring by Nick Zimmerman with four goals and five assists, followed by AndrewHarvey with four goals and four assists along with C.J. Sapong with four goals and three assists.Zimmer ranks third in the CAA in points with 13 and is tied for the league lead in assists withGerson Dos Santos and Owusu Sekyere of VCU.
JMU and ODU have met 33 times with the Dukes leading the series, 17-11-5. ODU defeated theDukes, 2-0in Norfolk last season.
Thus far this season, junior Steffen Rabben ranks third in the CAA in goals with five, while T. J.Beaulieu is tied for fourth in points with 12. ODU freshman keeper Michael Roura is tied forsecond in shutouts with four, he is fifth in save percentage at .759 and leads the CAA in shutouts per game at 0.50.
ODU hosts CAA leading Northeastern Saturday night at 7 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE FOR SATURDAYParking for the football scrimmage and men's soccer game will be available at the Powhatan Sports Complex Lot 43, as well as in the lots adjacent to the baseball and soccer fields (Lots 48, 54, & 55). Overflow parking for both events will be available at the Elkhorn Ave. parking garage on 43rd St. Fans should be aware the football scrimmage begins at 6:00 pm while the Monarch soccer team takes on Northeastern at 7:00 pm and spaces may be limited.
