NORFOLK, Va. -- The 5-0 ODU women's soccer team puts their undefeated record to the test away from home for their final non-conference road game of the season this weekend. The team will face unbeaten Radford (2-0-2) on Sunday at 1:00 pm. This week, the Lady Monarchs were ranked 6th in the Mid-Atlantic region by SOCCER BUZZ Magazine, its highest ranking since 2005. ODU is also ranked 7th in the Mid-Atlantic according to the NSCAA/adidas rankings. ODU has never lost to Radford, posting a 9-0-1 advantage in the all-time series.

This weeks polls saw Old Dominion jump up from 10th in the region to 6th according to Soccer Buzz and up to 7th according to the NSCAA/adidas rankings. ODU has not been ranked this high since the 2005 season when the team ranked as high as fourth during the season, the best ever regional ranking for the Lady Monarchs.

ODU is off to a 5-0 start for just the third time in school history, with the last coming in 2006 when the Lady Monarchs won the CAA Championship. The team is led by a stellar defense and a potent scoring attack so far this season. The ODU defense has allowed just three goals and just one after halftime while posting three shutouts. Senior Shavon Knight has posted 16 points in the first five games while freshman Victoria Johnson has four goals and four assists for 12 points.

Kick-off is slated for 1:00 pm on Sunday at Radford's Cupp Stadium. ODU returns home for the next two games, the following non-conference swing as they host University of Akron on Friday, September 19 at 6:00 pm and NC State on Sunday, September 21 at 1:00 pm.
