CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The 4-0 Old Dominion Lady Monarchs women's lacrosse team travels to Charlottesville to face #4 Virginia (8-2) tonight at 7:00 p.m. The Cavaliers are undefeated at home and have won three straight coming into the matchup against the undefeated Lady Monarchs. The game is the first of a two-game road swing for Old Dominion.

ODU has never beaten the UVa squad and have played them at least once per season since 1980. The all-time series is 31-0 in favor of the Cavaliers.

The unbeaten Lady Monarchs are led in goal by senior Sara Larson, who leads the nation in save percentage (.603) and is third in the nation in goals against average (6.75). Larson and the rest of the ODU defense are holding opponents to a CAA-best 6.75 goals per game through the first four games.

On offense, Old Dominion is led by senior Kelly Kimener and junior Jessica Noone. Kimener leads the team in assists and is 13th in the nation in assists per game (2.0). She also leads the team in points with 15 and has a team high 10 draw controls. She has scored in 16 straight games for ODU. Noone has ten goals on the season to lead the Lady Monarchs and has added four assists for a total of 14 points. Sophomore Ashley Kellogg also is in double figure scoring with 10 points.

Virginia is scoring over 12 goals per game and have five different players with over 20 points through ten games. Jenny Hauser and Brittany Kalkstein each have 20 goals apiece while Ashley McCullough leads the way with 33 points thanks in part to a team high 21 assists.

Kendall McBrearty has played in all but 8:23 in goal and has posted a 7.81 goals against average with a .483 save percentage.

The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Klockner Stadium on the campus of UVa.
