FAIRFAX, VA--Dan Hudson pitched a complete game, and Jimmy Mileshad four hits with four RBI to lead Old Dominion (14-11/6-4) to a 12-4 ColonialAthletic Association victory over George Mason (10-13/6-3) Friday. ODU poundedout 17 hits off four Patriot pitchers.
Hudson scattered eight hits with no walks and six strikeouts to improve his recordto 3-2.
Senior centerfielder Jimmy Miles had four hits, which included two doubles and atriple. Miles tripled in three runs in the eighth and doubled home a run in the ninth.He is now hitting .404 for the season.
Junior outfielder Max Most had three hits on the day, knocking in three runs and scoringthree times. Most singled in a run in the third and hit a two-run homer in the eighth.
Designated hitter David Burns and rightfielder Anthony Shawler each had two hits.Burns singled home two runs in the in the third inning.
All of George Mason's runs were knocked in by Justin Bour. The firstbasemanknocked in a run in the fourth on an ODU error, slammed his CAA leading 12th homerun of the season with one on in the sixth. He then knocked in the fourth run on a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Bour, who has hit a homer in each of Mason's last six games upped his RBI count to 38.
The two-times play again Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hap Spuhler Field.
