CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- The ODU Monarchs sailing team opened the team racing portion of their spring schedule at the Tom Noble Team Race last weekend, finishing 5th. Old Dominion swept three opponents and earned at least a split against all teams at the event except the host Washington College team.
ODU earned sweeps over Princeton, Cornell and Maryland at the event, defeating each team twice. The Monarchs managed a split against all other teams, aside from Washington College, including over the winning Naval Academy team. They also earned wins against Georgetown and King's Point.
Senior Michael Collins sailed with freshman Ashley Pellerito, sophomore Kyle Rogachenko sailed with junior Alissa Ayres and junior Mikey Brown sailed with fellow classmate Jaci Finney. Freshman Morgan Wilson was the alternate for ODU and sailed in several races in the event.
The Monarchs finished 9-5 in the double round robin event and will return to the team racing circuit this weekend at the John Jackson/Graham Hall Memorial Team Race in Washington, D.C.

*Ties have been broken per ICSA PR's. Since a 3-way sail-of was notpossible, PR 25 (b)(2) was used to break the tie and states "the number ofraces won when the tied colleges met." Below are the W-L records betweenthe tied teams when they met:
