ABOUT THE LADY MONARCHS:The No. 13/14 Lady Monarchs are winners in their last 14 contests and in 17 of their last 18 games. Old Dominion is coming off an 83-68 win against William & Mary in the fifth annual "Hoops for a Cure" game to sweep the season series against the Tribe. Senior Shahida Williams posted her first double-double of the season and third of her career with a season-high18 points and career-high 13 rebounds. Classmate T.J. Jordan led all scorers with 20 points, the fifth time this season the Portsmouth native collected 20 or more points in a game. Jordan continues to lead the squad at 14.3 points per game and is followed by sophomore Jessica Canady, who comes off the bench to average 11.2 points per contest. Junior Tiffany Green rounds out the trio of Lady Monarchs in double figures at 10.2 points per game. Senior Megan Pym leads the Lady Monarchs on the glass at 7.3 rebounds per game.
ABOUT NORTHEASTERN:Northeastern enters Thursday's contest with a 7-14 overall mark and 2-9 record in the CAA. The Huskies are coming off a 71-67 overtime victory at Hofstra that snapped a two-game losing streak. Northeastern's other conference win was a 59-54 home victory over Drexel. The Huskies are led by Shaleyse Smallwood, who is averaging 12.0 poitns per game. Kendra Walton, Northeastern's second leading scorer at 9.9 points per outing, leads her squad in rebounding at 5.5 boards per game.

SERIES WITH NORTHEASTERN:Old Dominion leads the all-time series 3-0. The Lady Monarchs won the last meeting, 85-51, in their second trip to Solomon Court back on January 24th.
LAST TIME VS. NORTHEASTERN:Sophomore Jessica Canady came off the Lady Monarch bench to net a career-high 28 points to help lead the No. 13/18 Old Dominion women's basketball team to a 85-51 victory over Northeastern on January 24th at Solomon Court. Canady finished the night 10-of-14 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. Twenty-two of her career-high 28 points came in the second half, including a run of 14 straight points. With the Lady Monarchs down 10-4 in the early part of the opening half, Canady went on a 14-1 run of her own to give Old Dominion the lead for good. At the half, Old Dominion owned a 46-31 lead, the Lady Monarchs' largest halftime point total of the season.In the second half, the Huskies got no closer than 13 as Northeastern's Shaleyse Smallwood brought the score to 50-37 with 13:48 remaining in the game. Canady was one of three Lady Monarchs in double figures. Senior Shahida Williams finished the night with 13 points, including 10 second-half points, and junior Jen Nuzzo poured in 10 from off the bench. Old Dominion held the Northeastern starting line-up all to single digit scoring. Lucia Pablos was the lone Husky notching double figures, coming off the Northeastern bench for 10 points along with four of the Huskies' five assists on the evening.
CAA STREAK:Old Dominion has won its last 22 straight CAA contests. The Lady Monarchs last loss in league play was a 79-50 against James Madison in Harrisonburg on February 1, 2007.
UNDEFEATED - AT HOME:Old Dominion is currently 10-0 at home and finished non-conference play at 5-0 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
HOME COURT STREAK:The Lady Monarchs have won a nation-leading 20 straight home contests dating back to the Dec. 20, 2006, 72-55, victory over national runner-up Rutgers. ODU's last loss at the Ted Constant Convocation Center was against national champion Tennessee, 59-75, back on Dec. 22, 2006.
CAA HOME COURT STREAK: The Lady Monarchs have won 31 straight home CAA contests dating back to the January 14, 2005, 78-59, victory over Virginia Commonwealth. ODU's last conference loss at the Ted Constant Convocation Center was against Delaware, 70-73, on January 9, 2005. Old Dominion holds a 153-2 home CAA mark.
WELCOME TO THE TED:Since the doors opened at the Ted Constant Convocation Center in 2002, the Lady Monarchs have enjoyed a 72-12 record.
THINK PINK:Sunday, February 10th was the Old Dominion's women's basketball team's fifth annual "HOOPS FOR A CURE" game. A season-high 4,825 fans helped "PINK OUT" the Ted Constant Convocation Center in the Lady Monarchs' 83-68 win over William & Mary.
HOW FAST TO 20:With an 83-68 win over William & Mary on February 10th, the Old Dominion Lady Monarchs collected their 20th win of the season and became one of the fastest teams to 20 wins in a season.

CRACKING A TOP TEN: Junior Jazzmin Walters cracked the the top ten junior assist list at Old Dominion on February 7th in the Lady Monarchs' 71-61 win at George Mason. Walters, who entered the game needing two assists to crack the list, dished out six assists against the Patriots and vaulted immediately into seventh place. Walters now stands at seventh on the list with 112 assists to her name in the 2007-08 season.
PASSING A FEW LEGENDS:Senior T.J. Jordan has moved up four spots on the ODU all-time scoring list since the beginning of the season. With her game-high 18 points against James Madison in the first meeting with the Dukes, she surpassed a Lady Monarch legend. Jordan surpassed current WNBA Sacramento Monarch Ticha Penicherio for 19th on the all-time list. With 20 points in Old Dominion's 20th win of the season, an 83-68 victory over William & Mary, the senior guard moved past two-time CAA Player of the Year and 2002 WNBA draftee Lucienne Berthieu in 18th place on the all-time list. Jordan currently has 1,395 career points.
HELLO TOP 25 - AP:The Lady Monarchs returned to the Top 25 in the Associated Press Poll for week four following their upset victory over Michigan State on December 2. Old Dominion was ranked at No. 24 and made its first appearance in the AP Poll since the final poll of the 2002 season when the Lady Monarchs finished 15th and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Monarchs have continually moved up in the rankings and this week remain at No. 13, ODU's highest ranking the since the final poll of the 1998-99 season.
HELLO TOP 25 - ESPN/USA TODAY:The Lady Monarchs cracked the Top 25 of the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll during week seven coming at No. 23 following SEC road wins at Kentucky and Vanderbilt. It is the Lady Monarchs first appearance in the Coaches' Poll since the second week of the 2002-03 season. This week, the Lady Monarchs remain at No. 14.
