Norfolk, Va. - The Old Dominion University women's tennis team did not surrender a set Friday night as the Lady Monarchs defeated visiting James Madison 7-0 to remain undefeated at 4-0 on the year.
The Lady Monarchs cruised to victory in all three doubles matches, winning 8-1, 8-2 and 8-0 to earn the doubles point.
In singles action ODU won all six matches in straight sets, led by the performances of freshmen Nadine Fahoum and Marija Citic, and junior Jana Kubicikova. Fahoum improved to 4-0 after a dominating 6-0, 6-0 win over Anna Khoor at the No. 3 position. At the No. 6 position Citic downed Barrett Donner 6-1, 6-0, while Kubicikova earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5.
ODU returns to the court on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m. when the Lady Monarchs host George Washington.
