ODU shot 50 (30-60) percent from the floor and outrebounded the Hawks,39-30.Adams was six-for-nine from the floor and he dished out three assists.Finney made his first start as a collegiate start tonight, hitting three field goals,One trey and two free throws. He also came up with a steal.

Senior co-captain Abdi Lidonde came off the bench to score 11, hittingFour-of five from the floor and three treys.

The game was tied at 14-14 with 11:03 left in the first half on a UMES basket byEd Tyson. Lidonde then hit two straight treys along with a basket by Frank HassellAnd the Monarchs lead was up to eight at 22-14 with 7:24 left in the half. ODU tookA ten-point halftime lead at 31-21.

The Monarchs forced the Hawks into 18 turnovers while only committingten. Brandon Johnson led ODU with three steals. Johnson also hauled down sixrebounds and dished out four assists.

UMES was led by Ed Tyson wit 19 points, followed by Marc Davis with10. Denzel Jackson led the Hawks with nine boards, followed by Aleksandar PopovicWith eight.

The Monarchs break for exams, then host Virginia Tech next Sunday afternoon(Dec. 16) at 4 p.m.
