ODU improved to 3-1 on the season with a 74-63 win over Iona. The Monarchs were led by Gerald Lee, who scored a career-high 19 points and added seven boards. Brandon Johnson tallied his second career double-double with 11 points and 10 assists. ODU led by eight at the half and never trailed in the second for the final score. The Gaels would cut the lead to 6 with under a minute to go, but ODU went 7-for-8 at the free-throw line down the stretch as the Gaels were forced to foul.
