KITTY HAWK, NC--The Old Dominion University Monarch golfers finished fourth at the 28th annual ODU-Seascape Collegiate. The University of Hartford won the team crown with a 569 for 36 holes, while Jordan Utley of the University of Richmond was the individual medalist with a 137.
ODU senior Stan Guarrero shot a 69 today to finish at 139, just two strokes behind the winner. Jeffrey Long tied for 17th with a 143 and Eric Onesi was 21st at145. All three Monarchs shot a final round 69 today.
Utley shot a 67 in the first round and held off Jimmy Lytle of Elong, A.J. OleksakOf Hartford and Garrett Medeiros of Wofford who finished at 138. The best round of theTournament was turned in by Liberty's Richard-Schenz-Davis with a 64. He finished tied for ninth with a 140.
Hartford had two players in the top ten. Joining Oleksak was Nick MacDonald who shot a 140 and tied for ninth. Interesting note: ODU won Hartford's tournament lastMonth and Hartford now wins Seascape.
