ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Old Dominion slipped to seventh place with a total of 65 points at the MAISA Sloops regatta this weekend. Senior skipper Michael Collins and sophomore crew Wilson Stout and Kevin Shockey added 24 points in the final three races on Sunday and were just 13 points out of the top five.
St. Mary's College and Navy qualified for the Sloop Nationals finishing first and second in the event. They were followed by Washington College, Hobart & William Smith and New York Maritime to round out the top five. Cornell finished two points ahead of ODU who finished in front of Kings Point, Webb and Penn State.
The Monarch trio finished in the top five in four of the 10 races.
