Co-Ed Sailors in Fourth Place at Hoyt Trophy Regatta

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Old Dominion is in fourth place after day one of the Hoyt Trophy Regatta in Rhode Island. The experience of senior skipper Bobby Noonan and junior crew Jaci Finney have them in contention for the A division lead, just five points back of the Boston College tandem. In B division, Mike Brown and Ashley Brusso are just four points out of the top ten.

The team is in fourth with 108 total points, just five back of Hobart & William Smith for third. Brown is in second place with 87 points and Boston College holds a commanding lead with 49 points.

In A division, Noonan and Finney finished in the top four boats in five of the eight completed races. This included one win and two second place efforts. The pair have 41 points, just five back of BC's A division pair.

Junior skipper Michael Brown and sophomore crew Ashley Brusso are in 12th place with 67 points, but finished strong, with their three best finishes coming in the final three races of the day. This included one third place finish.
