Co CAA Leading Monarchs Travel to George Mason and Towson

NORFOLK, VA-- The ODU Soccer Monarchs hit the road (7-4-1 (4-0) this weekend to take on GeorgeMason (5-5-1/2-2) Friday night at 7 p.m. andTowson (6-4-1/3-1) on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Monarchs have won five straight games. ODU issixth in the South Atlantic Regional rankings.

The Patriots balanced attack is led by Adu Fro with three goals, while goalkeeper Sean Kelley has a 1.10 goals against average.

Towson is led by the CAA's third leading scorer Pat Healey with sixgoals, followed by Angus Burke with three. Healey is also third in theCAA in assists with five. Billy Chiles has a 1.21 goals against average.

Through 12 matches, Trevor Banks leads ODU with nine points on threegoals and three assists. A.J. Kulp leads the team with four assists andfreshman T.J.Beaulieu has three goals. Kulp ranks seventh in the CAAin assists, while Trevor Banks and Daniel Haywood are tied for tenthin the CAA in assists with three.

Sophomore goalkeeper Evan Newton has a 0.70 goals agaisnt average andsix shutouts. Newton ranks third in the CAA in goals against average.

ODU leads the series with Towson, 7-4-1. The Tigers defeated ODU lastyear, 3-1. George Mason leads the series, 15-12-1.ODU has beatenMason three straight times, including a 1-0 decision last year.
