NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion sophomore Katrina Williams won the ODU/BYO Radial regatta this weekend while Lady Monarch freshmen Stephanie Roble and Morgan Wilson also finished among the top seven. Williams paced the team by finishing first in five of the 16 races. She won the regatta by 18 points finishing with 70 points overall. St. Mary's College sailor Sara Watters finished second with 88 points.
Williams finished out of the top nine sailors only once in 16 races and was among the top three in eight on her way to victory. Katrina had sealed the victory going into the 16th race, not even having to sail, but finished third to win the event.
ODU freshmen Stephanie Roble finished fifth overall, with two first place finishes. She tallied 99 points and stayed among the top five sailors in seven races. She edged out Allison Davis (USMMA) for fifth in the final race by finishing second overall.
Fellow freshmen Morgan Wilson rounded out the ODU performances by finishing seventh. She finished among the top nine sailors in all but two races and tallied 111 points.
