PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS--Six Monarchs scored in double figures as Old Dominion University defeated the Bahamian All-Stars, 107-36 in their exhibitionTour opener Saturday.
Senior Brian Henderson led ODU with 18 points, followed by 12 points from Abdi Lidonde,Freshman Ben Finney and junior Jonathan Adams. Freshman Darius James and sophomore MarshareeNeely added ten each.
ODU shot 53.4(39-73) from the field and outrebounded the Bahamians, 53-21. Senior SamHarris hauled down a game high 10 rebounds, followed by Jonathan Adams with nine, and Gerald LeeWith seven. Harris also blocked five shots. ODU forced The Bahamians into 29 turnovers as Brandon Johnson led with 4, followed by three thefts each from Abdi Lidonde, Ben Finney and Kent Bazmore.
ODU returns to action in game to of the tour Sunday against Sunshine Auto from the Bahamas at2.pm.ODU completes the tour on Monday at 11 am against the GuatemalaNational Team.
