GREENVILLE, NC--Amy Szilard's goal off a free kick with two minutes left in the first overtime period lifted the Lady Pirates of East Carolina(2-1) to a 1-0 victory over Old Dominion (1-1) Friday afternoon at Bunting Field.
After a scoreless regulation, ECU got the game winner as Nicole Moore passed to Szilard for the goal. ODU outshot ECU, 13-7, while holding the Lady Pirates without a shot in the second half. Junior Lauren Tupman had four saves for the Lady Monarchs, while Amber Campbell tallied five saves and the shutout.
The Lady Monarchs return home to host Radford Sunday at 1 p.m.
