Monarchs Honored At Big Blue BBQ

NORFOLK, VA-- Old Dominion honored their Monarchsat the Big Blue BBQ with various awards. Headlining the awards were recipients of the MVP award, Best Represents ODU, Best Defensive andMost improved.

Senior Drew Williamson was named the team MVP and was joined by fellewsenior/grad student John Morris as recipient of the Paul Webb "BestRepresents ODU."

The Cal Bowdler "Most Improved" recipient was Brandon Johnson. Johnson,a member of the CAA All-Defensive squad was also selected as the Mark West "Best Defensive" player.

Jonathan Adams was honored with his CAA Scholar Athlete of the YearAward. The team was presented with their NCAA participant awards from the Buffalo site.

The Monarchs completed the season with a 24-9 record and an atlargeberth to the NCAA tournament.

The Big Blue BBQ is presented by The Culpepper Real Estate DevelopmentGroup, Sheriff Bob McCabe and the ODU Hoops Club.
