NORFOLK, VA-- Old Dominion University sophomorerighthander Dexter Carter (Murfreesboro, NC.) hasbeen named CAA Co-Pitcher of the Week. He sharesthe honor with Georgia State Will Palmer.
Carter tossed a complete game five-hit shutout in ODU's3-0 win over Norfolk State. ODU travels to VMI for a 6 p.m. contest Tuesday night, then finishes the regular season with a three-game CAA series at William and Mary beginning Thursday night.
Carter fanned ten and walked two for his second collegiatewin. He is scheduled to pitch Tuesday night at VMI.
OTHER CAA NOTES: Five team have locked up berths for nextweek's CAA Baseball Championships in Wilmington, NC. Delaware, GeorgeMason, UNCW, ODU, and VCU. Five other teams are battling for the sixthspot heading into the final week of play.
