NORFOLK, Va. -- Wendy Larry, head coach of the CAA champion Lady Monarch women's basketball team, will be kicking up her heels as one of four contestants on Tuesday, May 15 on Dancing With the Stars Hampton Roads on 13News Daybreak (WVEC). Each contestant has paired up with a local dance studio and will perform with an instructor for the competition.
Now here's where you, the fans come in - You can vote for your favorite contestant (Coach Larry of course!) in an on-line poll on www.wvec.com, beginning at 7 a.m. (after the show) on Tuesday, May 15 and voting will remain open for one week, until Monday, May 21. The winner will be announced on the Tuesday morning 13News Daybreak show (5 a.m. - 7 a.m.).
Other local contestants include Virginia Beach mayor Meyera Obendorf, Chuck Doug, morning announcer at The Point, 94.9, and Indian River High School football coach Elisha "Cadillac" Harris.
