GEORGE MASON DEFEATS ODU, 11-6(College Baseball)

FAIRFAX, VA-- Jason Bour knocked in five runs to lead the Patriots ofGeorge Mason (25-21/1310) to an 11-6 victory over the Monarchs of Old Dominion(27-18/14-7) Friday afternoon.

With the game tied at one in the bottom of the third and two outs, Bour slammedhis 12th homerun of the season with two aboard to give Mason a 4-1 lead. He then singled in two more runs in the Patriots four-run fifth.

ODU freshman Jake McAloose singled in fellow freshman Gerard Hall in thethird inning to tie the game. ODU then scored five runs in the sixth as Chris Keenan, Mike Zahm, McAloose, David Burns and Anthony Shawler each knocked in runs. ODU had the bases loaded with two outs when reliver Jordan Flasher came on to get the final out and his 13th save.

Mike Zahm, Tyler Belcher and Jake McAloose led ODU with two hits each.McAloose knocked in two runs for ODU.

George Mason pounded out 12 hits, led by Justin Bour with three, while hisBrother Jason Bour and Chris Fournier each had two hits. J.J. Pannell won his seventh game of the season. He struck out a career high nine batters in his 8.1 innings of work. The two teams play Saturday at 2 p.m.
