NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (April 19, 2007) - William & Mary senior Megan Moulton-Levy (Monroe, Mich.) was selected as the 2007 Colonial Athletic Association women's tennis Player of the Year for the third consecutive season by a committee of the league's head coaches.

Also receiving top women's tennis honors from the conference were William & Mary freshman Ragini Acharya (Pulaski, Va.) as CAA Rookie of the Year and the Tribe's Kevin Epley as CAA Coach of the Year.

Moulton-Levy capped a sensational career with a record-setting senior season. She posted a 27-6 record in singles, with 18 of those victories coming over ranked foes. She is currently ranked #6 in the nation in singles by the ITA, which equals her career-best. Moulton-Levy also compiled a 35-2 record and is ranked #1 in the nation in doubles with Tribe sophomore Katarina Zoricic. The 35 victories are the most in school history. Moulton-Levy was the CAA Player of the Year in 2005 and was the co-Player of the Year in 2006. Last season, she reached the semifinals at the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.

Acharya compiled a 28-4 record during her freshman campaign, including a perfect 19-0 mark in dual match competition. Acharya, who played the majority of her matches at the number three slot for the #13 Tribe, won 17 of her 19 matches this spring in straight sets and is currently ranked #120 by the ITA. She also put together a solid 20-9 record in doubles.

Epley received CAA Coach of the Year accolades for the third time in his four years at the helm of the Tribe. He guided William & Mary to a 17-2 record this season with 10 victories coming over ranked foes, including a triumph over then #1 Georgia Tech in February. The Tribe is currently ranked #13 in the nation and is the top seed for this weekend's CAA Women's Tennis Championship.

All six players on the All-CAA first team are ranked in the top 125 nationally. Joining #6 Moulton-Levy and #120 Acharya were 25th-ranked VCU junior Tatsiana Uvarova (Minsk, Belarus), 60th-ranked W&M sophomore Katarina Zoricic (Etobicoke, Ontario), 103rd-ranked VCU junior Marianna Yuferova (St. Petersburg, Russia) and 121st-ranked VCU senior Olga Borisova (Minsk, Belarus).

Joining #1-ranked Moulton-Levy and Zoricic on the All-CAA doubles first team were VCU's 6th-ranked tandem of Borisova and Yuferova and the Georgia State duo of sophomore Dariana Kozmina (Kharkiv, Ukraine) and junior Rachel Malina (Decatur, Ga.).

The awards were presented Thursday night prior to the quarterfinals of the 2007 CAA Women's Tennis Championship, which resumes Friday at the Huntington Park Tennis Center in Newport News. The tournament runs through Sunday, with the women's championship match set for 10:00 a.m. on April 22.
