Shawler Wins Back-to-Back Performances of the Week
Old Dominion University Sophomore pitcher Anthony Shawler's (Chesapeake, VA.-Oscar Smith HS) performance against Iona was voted the SoutheastRegional Performance of the Week on InsidePitching.com. Shawler becameour first back-to-back winner of the season in throwing another completegame shutout. He struck out thirteen and scattered five hits in the winover Iona. Shawler has allowed just six hits in his last eighteen innings of work. Last week, he shutout Rutgers, 2-0.
Shawler is 4-0 with a 2.37 earned run average with 40 strikeouts in30.1 innings pitched.
