TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Brian Henderson hit two free throws with 10 seconds left to help Old Dominion hold off Toledo 73-70 on Saturday night in an ESPN Bracketbuster game.
Toledo (14-11), which had led by as many as 10 points (61-51 with12:25 left) midway through the second half, had its 15-game home winning streak snapped.
Valdas Vasylius scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds for the Monarchs (21-7), with Drew Williamson adding 14 points. Vasylius has now performed the double-double in three straight games.
Williamson's 3-pointer with just over 7 minutes left put Old Dominion ahead to stay, although the Rockets pulled to within a point three more times - the last when Justin Ingram hit a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left to cut the lead to 71-70.
Henderson was fouled by Jonathan Amos on the inbounds pass, with Henderson hitting both foul shots. Kashif Payne missed a 3-pointer with 2 seconds remaining.
Ingram led Toledo with 25 points, with Florentino Valencia adding 10.
The Monarchs have now won nine straight games and are 7-5 on the road.ODU returns to action on Wednesday night when they host CAA rival Towsonat 7 p.m. It will be senior night for Drew Williamson, Valdas Vasylius,Arnaud Dahi and John Morris.
