CHARLESTON, SC -- The Lady Monarch sailing team kicked off the Spring '07 season with a ninth place effort at the College of Charleston's Women's Intersectional. The A division boat of Cara DiSanti and Alissa Ayres finished ninth with three top five heats and the B division boat of Katrina Williams and Elyssa Albert finished tenth with two top five heats.
DiSanti and Ayres won the 11th heat of the weekend, while Williams and Albert grabbed second on the final heat, but it proved too little, too late for the Lady Monarchs.
The home team finished first and second at the Intersectional, followed by Stanford. Old Dominion take to the water again this weekend at Charleston for the co-ed Spring Intersectional while others on the team head up to Annapolis, Maryland for the Navy Quad Invitational.
