NORFOLK, VA-- Arnaud Dahi scored 19 points, Valdas Vasylius had 16 points and ten boards and Drew Williamson added 15 to lead the Monarchs of ODU (19-7/12-3) to a 79-63 win over CAA leading VCU (21-5/13-2) Saturday afternoon in front of a sellout crowd of 8,424 at the Ted. The win wasODU 's seventh straight.

There were 11 lead changes and the game was tied seven times. The lastwas 60-60 with 3:49 remaining. After a Brian Henderson trey gave theMonarchs a 63-60 lead, ODU then hit 11 of its next 14 free throws along(9 of 10 by Arnaud Dahi) with a jumper and a trey by Brandon Johnson. In all, ODU outscored the Rams 19-3 in the final 3:49.

ODU outrebounding the Rams, 47-30 as Vasylius got his fourth career double-double with 16 points and ten boards. The 6-7 junior fouled outof the game with 3:49 left in the game. Dahi added seven rebounds andBrandon Johnson hauled down eight to go with is seven assists and eightpoints.

ODU took a 34-28 halftime lead as Brian Henderson hit a bucket, BrandonJohnson a trey and Arnaud Dahi a layup, while VCU only got two freethrows by Eric Maynor the final 2:54 of the half.

VCU was led by Eric Maynor with 17 points, five assists, two blockes and asteal. B.A. Walker added 13 points. Wil Fameni led the Rams with 7 rebounds.

ODU shot .469 (23-49) from the floor, while the Rams shot .333 (20-60).ODU committed 12 turnovers, while the Rams just ten. Senior Drew Williamson picked up two steals which put him with the Monarch elitealong with Frank Smith (ODU'88) as the only other Monarch to have over500 career assists and over 200 career steals.

Today's game was ODU's eighth sellout in the Constant Center and fourthstraight sellout against the Rams. ODU had four sellouts last year. Only800-plus tickets remain for Tuesday night's game against Hofstra.
