PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Arnaud Dahi had 14 points and a career high 17 rebounds to lead Old Dominion to a 62-52 win over Drexel on Thursday night.ODU sweeps the two-game series with Drexel.
Drew Williamson and Valdas Vasylius added 14 points, and Brian Henderson scored 11 for the Monarchs (9-3 Colonial Athletic Association 16-7), who won their fourth straight, which is their longest of the season.
Old Dominion took control in the second half with a 12-2 run over a 4:14 span. Brian Henderson's jumper with 6:35 remaining capped the run and gave the Monarchs their biggest lead of the game at 52-39.
Frank Elegar scored 16 points, Bashir Mason added 10 and Chaz Crawford finished with 13 rebounds for the Dragons (8-4, 15-8), who were slowed by poor shooting. Drexel shot just 27 percent from the field.
The Monarchs scored the final four points of the first half and the first seven of the second to open a 38-27 lead with 16:37 left. The Dragons rallied, scoring eight straight points and moving within 40-37 with 11:40 remaining before the Monarchs pulled away.
ODU outrebounded the Dragons, 47-27. Along with Dahi's 17 boards, Vasyliusand Brandon Johnson hauled down seven rebounds each.ODU travels to Fairfax, VA to take on George Mason on Saturday at 6 p.m.in another ESPNU contest.
