National Girls and Women in Sports Day
The Old Dominion University Lady Monarchs invite girls and their parents to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday, Jan. 28 when they host William and Mary at 2 p.m. at the Constant Center. Immediately following the game, ODU will offer a free seminar on Girls Sports and careers to all fans.
The seminar will feature keynote speaker Sue Stahl, the former US Lacrosse Coach and current ODU Coach, along with Caroline Nichols and Barb Weinberg, Dr. Lynn Ridinger, a professor in the Sport Management department at Old Dominion University speaking about women in the sports industry; Terry Zablocki, certified athletic trainer discussing nutrition and injury prevention, and emcee Jan Trombly, U.S. team handball Olympian and fitness trainer. In addition, attendees can ask questions of a female student-athlete panel from ODU's sports teams.
