NORFOLK, VA-- The Old Dominion University Monarch golfers rank sixthnationally in par five scoring a 4.70 and freshman John Murphy (Wilton, CT.) ranks ninth nationally in par three scoring at 2.95.
Freshman Eric Onesi(Bear,DE.) who was ODU's low scorer this fall at 71.6 has been nominated by the Golf Coaches Association of America to play in the USA-China matches this summer in California. Final selections will bemade in April.
As a team, ODU had five top five finishes and one sixth place finishthis season. The Monarchs won the Joe Agee tournament and tied forsecond at Mid Pines.
Individually Eric Onesi (71.6) edged out Stan Guerrero (Tijuana, Mexico)in scoring (71.7). Murphy finished the fall at 72.8.
