NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion University senior midfielder Jared Kent (Marietta, GA.) has been named to the second team NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-American squad.
Kent carries a 3.75 grade point average in biology. A dean's list student and CAA honor roll student, Kent also earned ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA second teamAcademic All-American All-District squad and first team All-East Region ScholarBy the NSCAA/adidas earlier this month.
On the field, Kent tied for third in the CAA in assists with six. He was a first teamAll-CAA selection and second team NSCAA/adidas All-Region selection.
Kent helped lead ODU to the third round of the NCAA College Cup this yearas the Monarchs compiled a 14-6-2 overall record. During Kent's four years at ODU heHelped lead the Monarchs to four straight NCAA appearances and two CAA finals. TheMonarchs were 57-20-7 during those four years.
