ABOUT OLD DOMINION: Old Dominion ends its two game road trip as they head to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to take on a hot Middle Tennessee squad in the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Lady Monarchs are coming off a 64-68 loss to Charlotte on Sunday that saw Old Dominion commit 32 turnovers. A pair of Lady Monarchs had double-double performance with T.J. Jordan leading ODU in scoring for the seventh time this season. Jordan poured in 16 points and attempted a career-high 22 shots. She also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds. Tiffany Green posted double figure points and rebounds in her second straight game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Lady Monarchs did manage to outrebound the 49ers, 56-29.

Middle Tennessee opened the season with a 76-80 loss to defending national champion Maryland and proceeded to drop its next contest against South Dakota State. Following that loss, the Blue Raiders have won eight of its last nine including a 70-62 upset of No. 8 Georgia in Athens. Their only loss during that span was a 64-88 set back to Tennessee in Knoxville. Junior forward Amber Holt checks in averaging 17.6 points and a team leading 6.8 boards per outing.

SERIES WITH MTSU: Tonight's meeting will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.

REMEMBER THE SUN BELT: Middle Tennessee is a member of the Sun Belt Conference, the same conference the Lady Monarchs were a member of from 1982-1991 before joining their current affiliation with the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). During its time in the Sun Belt, the Lady Monarchs won five Sun Belt titles - 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, and 1990. It was as a member of the Sun Belt that Old Dominion won the national title in 1985.

KEEPING THE BALL: Old Dominion's 32 turnovers at Charlotte certainly isn't a number it would like to see on the stat sheet again this season. The good news is that was not the school record. The most turnovers in a game in Lady Monarch history was 37. That happen twice - against Kansas on January 20, 1978 and against Tennessee on January 13, 1994.

NOW BOARDING: The Lady Monarchs have collected a season-high 27 board rebounding margin in its last two games. Old Dominion collected 56 rebounds against both Charlotte and Chicago State while holding both teams to just 29 boards.

THE VOLUNTEER STATE:Old Dominion will face back-to-back opponents from the Volunteer State this week. The Lady Monarchs will be in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to take on the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State and then return home to Norfolk for its annual meeting with the Lady Vols of the University of Tennessee.

JUST LIKE MIKE: Junior guard T.J. Jordan has led the team in scoring in all but one game this season - at #5 Duke. In her last game at Charlotte, Jordan collected her first career double-double with 16-points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Additionally she set a new career mark with 22 field goals attempted.

THE STARTING FIVE:With the Lady Monarch roster as deep as it is in recent memory, its hard to pick just which Lady Monarch will get the starting nod. Through eight games, six different starting combos have been used with Tish Lyons and Sherida Triggs being the only Lady Monarchs to have started every single game.
