NORFOLK, VA -- Catch the famous Chicago Bulls Bucket Boys at halftime of the ODU vs. Tennessee game this Friday night. Since late 2002 the Bucket Boys have been a regular attraction during Chicago Bulls halftime shows and they'll now entertain watchers at The Ted.
The halftime promotion brings Norfolk one of the most beloved halftime shows in the NBA. The Bucket Boys are a group of South Side teenage drummers that have been playing the streets of Chicago for years. Using milk crates and simple buckets the percussion group has been making noise for years.
Getting their break in 2002 they became regulars during Bulls games and have since expanded their resume. The Bucket Boys have appeared during numerous NBA and NCAA events including the 2004 NBA All-Star game halftime show. They shared the stage with Beyonce, OutKast, and Christina Aguilera. The group also dilmed a spot for KFC and joined Hank Williams, Jr. on his "Are You Ready For Some Football?!" spot for ABC's Monday Night Football.
Come out and support your Lady Monarchs Friday evening at 5:00 pm as they host the University of Tennessee.
