NORFOLK, VA-- Old Dominion University seniormidfielder Jared Kent (Marietta, GA.)has been selected to thefirst team Scholar All-East Region team by the NSCAA/adidascoaches association.
Kent carries a 3.75 grade point average in biology. A Dean's liststudent and CAA honor roll selection, Kent also earned ESPN the magazine/CoSIDA second team Academic All-District honors.
Kent tied for third in the CAA in assists with six and was a first teamAll-CAA selection and second team NSCAA/adidas All-region pick.
Kent helped lead the Monarchs to the third round of the NCAACollege Cup this year. During his four years at ODU, the Monarchsreached the NCAA tournament each year, and were finalists in theCAA Championships twice.
He is now eligible for the NSCAA national scholar squad which willbe announced later this month.
