NORFOLK, VA-- The Old Dominion Monarchs hostthe Trojans of Virginia State University in anexhbition game Tuesday night at the Ted ConstantConvocation Center. Game time is 7 p.m.
Virginia State is a member of the NCAA Division II CentralIntercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) out of Petersburg, Va.Their top returning scorer is 6-7 senior forward Michael Askewwho averaged 14.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
The Monarchs played their annual blue-white exhibition last Fridayas Arnaud Dahi (Ivory Coast, Africa) led the way with 25 points, sevenrebounds on 9-13 shooting. 7-3 Sam Harris (Tasmania, Australia) scored 13 points with eightrebounds and Valdas Vasylius (Klaipeda,Lithuania) finished with 12 points.
After Tuesday, ODU will play Barton College on Monday, Nov. 6 beforestarting the regular season with the Cox Communication Classic Nov.10-12 at the Constant Convocation Center.
