NORFOLK, VA-- Senior pre-season All-CAA forwardArnaud Dahi (Ivory Coast, Africa) scored 25 points on the night behind 9-for-13 shooting inthe annual Blue-White scrimmage Friday night. 7-3Sam Harris (Newnham,Tasmania-Australia) added 13 points and eight reboundsas well. ODU plays Virginia State Tuesday nightin an exhibition contest.
Also scoring in double figures for the Monarchs was Abdi Lidonde (Sutton,MA.) with 11 points on 4-7 shooting from the floor along withthree treys. Senior forward Valdas Vasylius (Klapedia, Lithuania)scored 12 points , hitting 7-9 from the free throw line.
Harris led all rebounders with eight, while Dahi had seven. Sophomoreforward Jonathan Adams (Ringgold.GA.) and freshman guard MarshareeNeely (Greensboro, NC.) hauled down six rebounds each.
Brandon Johnson (Orlando, Fl.), Drew Williamson (Burlington, NC.) andNeely dished out three assists each, but it was Jonatham Adams who ledwith four on the evening.
Overall, ODU shot 35-93 (.376) from the floor and .839(26-31) fromthe free throw line.
The Monarchs return to action on Tuesday night when they host theTrojans of Virginia State out of the CIAA in an exhibition contest.Game time is 7 p.m. in the Constant Center.
