NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion Soccer Monarchs (11-4-1/6-3-1) ranked 25th nationally by the coaches NSCAA/adidas poll host The Tribe of William and Mary (8-7-3/4-3-3) Thursday night at 8 p.m. in the nationally televised game of the week on Fox Soccer channel 225.

ODU ranks fourth in the region behind Virginia, Maryland and Towson. BothODU and William and Mary have players among the CAA statistical leaders. Sophomoreforward Andrew Hoxie (WM), the CAA Player of the Week is tied for first in the CAAIn point with 24, while ODU's Edson Elcock ranks fourth with 23. Hoxie is tied forfirst in goals scored with 10, while ODU's Edson Elcock is fourth with eight and Zachary Kinney is seventh with seven.

The Tribes Doug Ernst leads the CAA in assists with eighth, followed by ODU'sJared Kent and Edson Elcock tied for fourth with five. The Tribe lead the series, 18-16-8,but ODU has won the last three meetings.

ODU Soccer has been on TV before which includes last year's match at Drexel.The last televised match at ODU was the Oct. 26, 1993 HTS match against Notre Dame. This will be the first nationally televised game. The announcer is Sean Wheelock. The CAA tournament begins next week with quarterfinal matches on Tuesday (at site of the higher seed). The semi-finals and finals will be at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex on Nov. 3 and 5.

Tickets for the game Thursday night are $5 for adults, $4 for faculty staff, senior citizens, military and $3 for groups or more.
