NORFOLK, VA--Seniors Edson Elcock (Brooklyn, NY.) and Ross Mackenzie(Richmond, VA.) scored a pair of goals to lead the Monarchs of Old Dominion(7-1/2-0) to a 5-1 CAA victory over Drexel Sunday (2-3/0-2) afternoon. ODU rankedtenth by College Soccer News and 13th by the coaches NSCAA/adidas have won seven straight matches.

ODU scored three times in the first half as MacKenzie got a pass from A.J.Kulp for the first score 37 seconds into the match. Three minutes later Edson Elcock scored, the MacKenzie again on the assist from Elcock.

Drexel's Dominick Balsamo got a pass from Cory Robertson and on onetouch scored with about 21 minutes left in the first half. The goal ended ODU'sfive game shutout streak.

Elcock with an assist from Jared Kent (Marietta, GA.) started the secondHalf off and Zachary Kinney (Portland, TX.) finished the Monarchs scoring at the79 minute mark. ODU outshot the Dragons, 22-8. Evan Newton had five saves for ODU,while starting Drexel goalkeeper Cory Robertson had 11 saves. ODU travelsto Northeastern and Hofstra next weekend.
