PHILADELPHIA, PA--Junior forward Lisa McKenzie (Inverness, Scotland)scored in the opening 40 seconds of the second half to give the Lady Monarchs ofOld Dominion (9-1/1-1) a 1-0 victory over Drexel (3-5-1/0-1) Sunday afternoon.
The goal was McKenzie's first of the season. The shutout was ODU's seventhof the year as sophomore Colby Owen (Virginia Beach, Va.-Cox HS), playing in theplace of the injured Lauren Tupman (Virginia Beach, VA.) had two saves. Tupman suffered a foot injury late in the first half of Friday night's game at Delaware.
The Lady Monarchs outshot Drexel, 15-7 on the day. ODU returns home Fridayto play Northeastern at 7 p.m., and Hofstra on Sunday at 1:00.
