NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion junior Sherida Triggs (Norcross, Ga.) and sophomore T.J. Jordan (Portsmouth, Va.) were named Second Teamm All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association.

Triggs, a 6-1 forward, averaged a team second best 11.4 points and a team leading 7.2 rebounds in her third season with the Lady Monarchs. A Second Team All-CAA selection, she performed six double-doubles, more than any other teammate this season. Among her season highs include a 22-point career night at George Mason and a season-high 13 boards in the regular season home finale against William & Mary. She shot a team and league-best .573 percent from the field and also lead the Lady Monarchs with 36 blocks, and 43 steals. She finished the year Triggs ranked 20th in scoring in the CAA, seventh in rebounding (7.4 rpg), and seventh in blocked shots (1.16).

Jordan, a Second Team All-CAA selection and CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, led her team with 13.4 points per game and dished out an average of 2.3 assists per game. Nationally, she ranked sixth in the country average 3.0 three-pointers made a game. She reset Aubrey Eblin's single season-three pointer attempt mark with 248 attempts and was just five three's shy of resetting Eblin's three-pointers made mark with 93 treys. Jordan ranked 13th in scoring among her CAA peers and finished the year 15th in field goal percentage (.408) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage, (.375). Jordan has reached double figures in all but seven games and netted a season-high 23 points at George Mason in February. The Hampton Roads native has also reached 20 or more points three times and tied career-high with seven three pointers made at George Mason at the Patriot Center.

The Old Dominion women's basketball team finished the 2005-06 season with a 22-9 record and captured their NCAA record 15th straight Colonial Athletic Association title. The Lady Monarchs advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 23rd time in school history.
