TOWSON, MD-- Ryan Schrieter's grand slam home run in the bottom of thefourth inning brokeup a four-all tie to help Towson (20-34/8-22) defeatOld Dominion (39-15/21-9) Saturday.

ODU will next play in the CAA Championships in Wilmington, NC beginningWednesday as the number two seed as JMU defeated UNCW today.

Bryan Cipolla tied the game in the top of the third with a single toscore Jesse Schoendienst. Towson came back in the bottom of the inningas Kyle Skellchock double, Greb Furmanek walked, Gary Helmick reached onan infield hit to load the bases and Schrieter hit the grand slam over the rightfield fence to put the Tigers up 6-2.

TU upped the lead to 8-4, but ODU rallied with three runs in the top ofthe eighth. Patrick Nichols led off with a double and Justin Gregulahit his fourth homerun of the season. Tyler Belcher later scored from third as the Tigers turned a double play.

The Tigers added another run on a solo homer by Hans Falkenham.

Jimmy Miles, Patrick Nichols, Tyler Belcher each had two hits forODU and Chris Keenan led with three hits.

Steve Johnson got his sixth save of the year for Towson and JasonVolker picked up his first win of the season.
