The ODU Athletic department and Alumni Office will co-sponsor pre-game socials prior to the semi-finals and finals of the CAA women's basketball tournament, March 10 and 11 in Fairfax, VA. Should the Lady Monarchs advance to these rounds, the pre-game cash bar socials will be held at Brion's Grill on Lake Braddock Road, across the street from the entrance to George Mason University and the Patriot Center. Friday's social will begin at 4 p.m., while Saturday's will be held at 10:30 a.m., prior the noon championship game.
ODU will sponsor a bus to the semifinals and finals of the tournament as well. The price is based on the number of people riding the bus, with a minimum of 30 required each day for the buses to go to Fairfax. Prices will vary between $38 (based on 40 people) and $50 (based on 30 people). The price includes a game ticket. Buses will depart at 12:30 on Friday from the Constant Center parking garage, and 7 a.m. on Saturday (March 11) and return immediately following the ODU game. Reservations with credit card payment must be made by Wednesday, March 8 at noon. Interested parties should call 683-3359.
