Several Monarch and Lady Monarch tennis student-athletes will participate at the Hampton Roads Tennis "Shoot Out" at the Norfolk Yatch & Country Club this weekend. The event is open to members and non-members spectators. Come out and watch some great tennis.
When: Saturday, November 5 starting at 12 pm.
Level: Top level players.... Collegiate Players.... Local Legends.... Top Junior's ready to compete against the best...
Format: The clay court tournament will feature a 32 men's singles draw and a 16 singles women's draw. Each match will consist of 1 set with a tiebreaker at 6 all using regular scoring. The event will be completed in one day with the men's finalist playing 5 sets while the women's finalist will play 4 sets. There will be a consolation draw for all first round losers therefore each participant will play a minimum of two sets.
Awards: The winning male and female player will receive $200 each provided they are not amateurs. The runner-ups and consolation winners will receive a Tecnifibre tennis bag or a pair of Reebok shoes courtesy of Team Connection (www.teamconnection.com).
