NORFOLK, VA - Mitch Brindley and the ODU Sailing Monarchs welcome teams from up and down the east coast to the ODU Sailing Center October 29-30th for the War Memorial Regatta.
The competition will feature a series of FJ's racing in A and B divisions. Racing is set to kick off Saturday at 9:00am. Several teams are scheduled to compete in the regatta including no. 5 Saint Mary's, no. 6 Kings Point, no. 8 Hobart and Smith, and no. 9 Georgetown University, each ranked by collegesailing.org in coed rankings provided by Sailing World's coaches panel. Old Dominion rounds out the list at the no. 20 spot for coed teams.
Charles Higgins (Arlington, TX), Jennifer Adams (Montclair, VA) will race for Old Dominion in A division. David Tunnicliffe (Pittsburgh, PA), Jaclyn Finney (Hampton, VA), and Bryan Otis will race in B division with Bobby Noonan (Fort Lauderdale, FL) as an alternate skipper.
ODU will also compete in the ISCA Sloops taking place this weekend in Richland, Michigan.
