NORFOLK, VA--. The 6th ranked Old Dominion University Soccer Monarchs scored five first-half goals Sunday afternoon at the ODU Soccer Stadium, and cruised past the Georgia State Panthers 6-0. With the win, ODU upped their record to 7-1-1 (2-0) on the season. Georgia State fell to 3-6 (1-1) with the loss. Sophomore A.J. Kulp (Ephrata, PA) and National Player of the Week Brian Cvilikas (Highlands Ranch, CO) scored two goals each to pace the Monarchs. Junior Gregg Mottinger (Carrollton, TX) dished out three assists.

Junior midfielder Ross Mackenzie (Midlothian, VA) and junior forward Edson Elcock (Brooklyn, NY) also netted goals for ODU, who extended their home regular season unbeaten streak to 29 games with the victory. ODU outshot the Panthers 30-4 on the day. With the win, the Monarchs extended their shutout streak to four games, last giving up a goal against Elon.

The Monarchs return to action Friday night as they travel to Delaware to take on the Fighting Blue Hens in a conference matchup. ODU will next travel to Drexel the following Sunday for a locally televised contest against the Dragons. The game will be broadcast on WSKY and Comcast channel CN8 at 12:00 noon.
