NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion University head baseball coach announced today that Thomas Seay has been named volunteer assistant coach. Seay spent the lastthree years coaching at Douglas Freeman High School and The Collegiate School inRichmond, VA. He also served as the head coach of American Legion Post 244 inGlen Allen, Va.

While at Collegiate, Seay was the defense and hitting coach, and worked withthe outfielders and hitters at Douglas Freeman. He also served as the pitching and hittingcoach for Post 244.

Seay played collegiate baseball at Christopher Newport University in NewportNews, VA, then transferred to Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. While atRandolph-Macon he was named second team All-Conference as a designated hitter andranked 16th nationally in doubles, setting a Randolph-Macon school record. As a seniorat Douglas Freeman High School, Seay earned first team All-State honors at thirdbase.

Seay graduated in 2002 from Randolph-Macon with a B.A. in sociology. TheRichmond, VA native received a M.S. degree from Virginia Commonwealth Universityin sports leadership in 2003.

Ronnie Stahl Earns Honors From U.S. Navy Baseball

SAN DIEGO,CA-- Ronnie Stahl ('05) was selected Most Valuable Player andExecutive of the Year by the 2005 U.S. Navy Baseball program.

Stahl hit .383 in 29 games with three homers and 36 runs batted in. Hehelped lead the team to a 31-6 record and earn one of only 42 berths to the 71st Annual National Baseball Congress World Series in Witchita,KS.The team won a record ninth Armed Forces Championship and SouthernDivision Championship in the Western Baseball Association.

Stahl graduated from ODU in May with a degree in civil engineeringtechnology. His goal is to become a naval aviator, and officer in theU.S. Navy .
