NORFOLK, VA--Jacob Cook scattered four hits while Skyler Doom, Kellen Kulbacki and Matt Sluder had three hits each to lead James Madison (12-18/3-3) toa 7-1 CAA victory over Old Dominion (18-20/2-7) Sunday afternoon. ODU's BryanCipolla broke up the shutout with his fifth homerun of the season in the ninth.

Cook won his first game of the season, walking just one and striking outfive in the complete game victory.

JMU got on the board in the first inning as Skyler Doom doubled, then scoredon Michael Cowgill's sacrifice fly. In the second inning, Ryan Reid singled home Kellen Kulbacki. Nate Schill led JMU with three RBI on the day. He knocked in Skyler Doom with a sacrifice fly in the fifth, and doubled home Michael Cowgill and Ryan Reid in the seventh. Kellen Kulbacki slammed his fifth homerun of the season in the fourthinning.

Evan Chipman, Tyler Belcher, Eric Mesa and Bryan Cipolla had the Monarchsfour hits. Cipolla's homerun broke-up JMU pitchers 16 inning scoreless streak in the series after ODU won, 8-2 in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

ODU returns to action next weekend when they travel to Towson for a three-game CAA series. JMU hosts Radford on Tuesday.
